Pre-School Story Hour Special Programs

Pre-School Story Hour Special Events

The Cambridge Public Library is excited to announce two special events coming up during our Tuesday Pre-school Story Hour. Coordinator Betsy Brander has invited the Battenkill Community Services Puppeteers to present a special rendition of the book “Woolbur” by Leslie Helakoski. The Battenkill Community Services Puppeteers presented a puppet show at Christmas which the children and adults at Story Hour truly enjoyed. After the show the Puppeteers and the Story Hour participants will have an opportunity to collaborate while creating their very own puppets. If you are a parent or caregiver of a child who is 5 or under please come see the show on Tuesday May 16 from 10:00-11:00 a.m.

Pre-school Story Hour will also be welcoming local EMTs from the Cambridge Valley Rescue Squad on Tuesday May 23 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. This is a wonderful opportunity for the children to learn about the duties and responsibilities of an EMT and to become familiar with these wonderful volunteers. The children will also be given the chance to see a real ambulance and some of the equipment that the EMTs use when caring for someone with a medical emergency. This will be a very fun and interesting morning for the children and their caregivers.
