Photo History of Cambridge
Join us at the Cambridge Library on May 25, 2019 at 4:00 PM as Ken Gottry, local historian and raconteur, presents photos and stories of Cambridge throughout its history. For example, Ken will walk you through the evolution of sections of the village such as the northeast corner of Main and Park streets as it morphed from the first United Presbyterian Church in 1792 to a Chinese laundry to the high school basketball arena to the Grange Hall to the A&P grocery store to today’s Rite Aid. Ken has hundreds of stories that stitch together his thousands of photos into patterns that bring our history to life.
Ken looks forward to queries from the audience about sections of the village of interest to them. So bring your questions and see what photos and stories Ken can provide about your house, your family, your heritage. As always, Ken loves to hear you share your stories to help him build his understanding of our history. Please contact Cambridge Public Library for any questions or to reserve a seat for this program at 518-677-2443.
